Custom Rule voice menu recording

Every time a voice menu for a Rule is used an appropriate Cradle voice recording will be played by default. You can replace the default message with your own personalised recording.

There are two places where you can change voice menu recordings:

• Voice menu for each Rule when you have selected voice menu during hours (or 24/7)
• Voice menu for each Rule when you have selected voice menu after hours.

Create Your Recording

There are three ways to add a greeting, all in the same place in the admin site:

• Create from text – type your script, or start from a ready-made voice menu script that Cradle fills in with your company name and the actual options on your menu ("For Sales, please press 1…"). Choose from a range of natural voices, preview the audio, and save. No microphone or files needed.
• Record – record the greeting in your browser using your microphone.
• Upload a file – browse or drag and drop an existing recording. Files must end with a .mp3 or .wav extension and be less than 10 MB. If your recording is not in these formats you must convert it (do not change the file extension as this will not work).

Adding a Rule Voice Menu

If you have selected Voice Menu for any calls during hours, 24/7, or after hours you can add a personalised voice menu recording. Follow these steps in admin.cradle.io:

1. Click Rules.
2. Click the Rule card for the rule you want to adjust.
3. At the bottom select During Hours (or 24/7) or After hours as required.
4. Add your greeting: browse or drag and drop onto the upload box, or use the Record or** Create from text** buttons below it.
5. Repeat steps 2 - 4 for all of your Rules.

You can use the audio player to hear your recording. To change it, revisit the same page and add a new recording the same way.

If you don't add a greeting at all, Cradle reads the menu options out automatically.
